Size and Packaging

This is a natural product so sizes and weights vary based on the size of the animal. The following is an indication on average only.

Our Veal Breast Bone weighs between 45g and 120g each. Average weight is 80g. The average amount per 1kg bag is 12 (depending on the weight variation in the bag you get these can differ from 8-15)

The length varies between 15-25cm and width is between 4-7cm. Thickness average is 2-5cm.

Please note as the weight’s vary so much there can be between 8 and 15 per 1kg bag.

Risks

  • Cooked bones are not suitable for dogs as they splinter easily.
  • Raw beef bones may cause tooth injuries, especially in puppies.

Servings

  • Source beef bones from organic or grass-fed livestock.
  • Beef bones can be given to dogs raw or freeze-dried.
  • If your dog’s diet already has complete calcium, limit edible bones or only feed them as occasional treats.
  • Raw beef marrow bones provide the most nutrition.
  • Chewing should only last for 10-15 minutes. Bones with marrow left may be refrigerated and given again the next day.
  • You can use beef bones to make bone broth for your dog, which is highly nutritious.
  • Always supervise your dog when feeding bones.
  • Remove the bones after your dog’s eating session.
