100% Australian caught Gummy Shark and dried in Australia. Gummy shark is used in fish and ship shops in Australia and generally sold under the name flake. We use the left overs.
Gummy shark is classed as fully sustainable and has a quota which is strictly monitored by the Australia Fisheries.
We 100% do not use unsustainable, endangered shark species for any of our shark products.

Single ingredient product with no preservatives, no additives, no colours, no added sugar, or anything else!
This is a natural product so sizes and weights vary based on the size and part of the animal. The following is an indication on average only and they can and will vary outside this.
Approximate sizes: 15cm long and 1-2cm thick.
There are approximately 60-100 pieces in the 1 kg pack size
Please note that there can be a reasonable variation in this number depending on the batch and the section of cartilage.
Our shark products are either 100% North Queensland Black Tip or Australian Gummy Shark. These are both common sharks in Australia caught using sustainable practices with quotas strictly managed by the Australian Fisheries. They are declared as the least concern by the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature). They are very common in our Australian waters and not endangered. No threatened shark species are used in our products.
Firstly, please also note that these fish are primarily caught for human consumption. Often referred to as flake in fish and chip shops we mainly use the non-human consumption leftovers that would otherwise be discarded. Therefore nothing is wasted. Secondly, we do not catch endangered sharks to use just their fins, tails, or skin for dog products! In conclusion, we use the leftovers of common sustainably fished Australian sharks used for human consumption.
